An air ambulance was called out to Newhall Road in Swadlincote on Sunday afternoon after a woman was hit by a car and taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.
East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed on Monday that they were called out to the incident involving a pedestrian at around 2.27pm.

Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa will speak at a meeting in Midway in March to give an update on how he has tackled community problems in the Swadlincote area.
A statement from Official Website of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire says that tough action has been taken by Mr Dhindsa (pictured) who has now announced a series of feedback events to let the public know what is happening having listened carefully to their concerns,
Swadlincote fire crews have been called out to a house fire in Castle Gresley.
The incident involveds a chip pan fire and Swadlincote Fire Blue are in attendance.

Swadlincote Police are investigating the theft of one vehicle in Woodville - and an attempt to steal another - on Thursday night.
They are appealing for information about both incidents which they believe involved the same offenders.
Work to repair pot holes in Swadlincote's Civic Centre car park will take place on the weekend of January, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th.
South Derbyshire District Council says that, in order to provide a safe working area and to ensure there is no damage caused to vehicles, the car park will close at 10pm on Friday 24th and re-open on Sunday, January 26th.

The Met Office has issued a warning for the Derbyshire area which includes Swadlincote and the surrounding towns.
It says strong winds will develop on Tuesday which may bring some disruption.
Swadlincote Police made three arrests on Monday night after locating a stolen vehicle.
But the suspects did not give themselves up easily according to the town's Safer Network Team.
Swadlincote Police carried out a drugs raid at an industrial estate off Cadley Hill.
The Safer Network Team reported that a large amount of controlled substances was seized on Friday morning and booked in for forensic analysis.
