Swadlincote Police made three arrests on Monday night after locating a stolen vehicle.

But the suspects did not give themselves up easily according to the town's Safer Network Team.

They made it clear on social media that there was an attempt to make a getaway after being approached by officers.

Swadlincote SNT posted: "Stolen vehicle located and seized in Swadlincote.

"Suspects decided they fancied a little foot chase and a game of hide and seek but didn't get very far...

"Result: three in custody."

It was the third car the Swad Team had collected that night.

Their post continued: "And...it's a hat trick! Our recovery garage has been busy tonight."
