Swadlincote Police are investigating the theft of one vehicle in Woodville - and an attempt to steal another - on Thursday night.

They are appealing for information about both incidents which they believe involved the same offenders.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team said this morning that there was an attempted theft of Ford Fiesta ST on Swallow Road, Woodville, at around 2315 hours.

They added that the offenders were disturbed by homeowner and made off.

But they added A Ford Transit Tipper was also stolen overnight from Falcon Road in Woodville.

Swadlincote SNT say the two incidents are thought to be connected and urge anyone with any information to come forwards.
