Two men run from crashed BMW but are tracked down by Swadlincote Police

Officers tracked down two men after they crashed their BMW car in Swadlincote and made off on foot to escape the police.
Swadlincote Police spotted the car being driven erratically and tried to stop it - only for the vehicle to speed off.
It then crashed into a parked vehicle and. when officers arrived, the men had fled the scene, only to be found in Hall Farm Road.
The Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team's Facebook page gave more details: "SNT officers were on mobile patrol last night (Monday) when they came across a BMW driving in an erratic manner on Repton Road towards Sandcliffe Road.
"An attempt was made to stop the car on Sandcliffe Road.
"However, it made off at speed and drove across the junction and down Midway Road where officers have lost sight of the vehicle.
"Officers have carried on searching for the vehicle down Midway Road and on to Church Street with the assistance of group 5 LPU officers.
"On the junction of Hall Farm Road with Church Street, the offending vehicle was seen crashed in to a parked car with minor damage.
"The engine was still running but it was unoccupied.
"Witnesses have assisted the attending officers and stated that they had seen two males fleeing from the vehicle and pointed to someone making their way up Hall Farm Road.
"Both males were arrested a short distance away and one was in possession of the keys to the BMW, which was recovered."
