Two Car Collision In Midway Ends With Crash Into Speed Camera Warning Sign

Emergency services were called out to Burton Road in Midway on Friday after two vehicles collided - and hit a sign warning of speed cameras ahead.

Swadlincote Response Unit tweeted the result of the incident in which showed a car and the damaged lampost on the busy route.

Derbyshire Fire Service arrived at the scebe along with East Midlands Ambulance service.

But the police confirmed that while the lamppost was in need of repair - the occupants of the car were safe.

Swadlincote Response Unit's tweet reads: "Group 2 have been on scene at a 2 vehicle RTC this afternoon, alongside @EMASNHSTrust and @DerbyshireFRS

"All people involved are safe and well, and Highways were called to secure the lamppost which is now a bit... wonky"
