Swadlincote Police seized a haul of fireworks during patrols around Newhall Park on Bonfire Night.

But the town's Safer Neighbourhood Teams say their recent clampdown on anti-social behaviour is working.

Apart from the fireworks - the SNT say there were very few youngsters hanging around the area last night (Thursday).

The SNT posted on their Facebook page and said: "Patrols are continuing around the parks this evening.

PCSO Edwards and PCSO Coldicott have seized a large amount of fireworks about to be set off on Newhall Park.

"Glad to see very few youths about on the parks and following the guidelines."
