Swadlincote Police investigating damage caused to Newhall United pitch after teenagers are identified

Criminal damage was caused to the football pitch at Newhall United FC last week.

Swadlincote Police say a number of teenagers have been detained by officers who arrived at the scene last Wednesday.

The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team posted: "On June 30, SNT officers responded to criminal damage being caused to Newhall United's pitch.

"On arrival several youths aged between 15-17 ran off in different directions, but they were all detained and suspects identified.

"Investigations are still ongoing."
