A group of teenage suspects have been arrested following assaults in Eureka Park this week.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team says that the incident happened on Thursday evening.

But police have made it clear it is not connected to the recent knife crime incident in the same area last month.

At least one of the youths arrested was just 13 years old.

The SNT revealed the latest developments on their Facebook page.

Their post reads: "SNT have been investigating the recent assaults that took place on Eureka Park on July 1 around 22:30 hrs.

"These assaults are not linked to any other recent incidents in the park.

"The suspects aged between 13-16 have been identified and arrests made.

"Further arrests will be made so expect that early morning knock on the door!

"The parks remain as one of our priorities. Parents you need to know where your children are especially if they are aged between 13/16 why are they are out at 22:30hrs?"
