Heavy snow is forecast to return to the Swadlincote area on Saturday - with the Met Office issuing a yellow warning.

Snowfall caused havoc last Sunday - with icy conditions making roads treacherous on Monday.

Now more disruption is expected this weekend.

The warning is for snow to arrive in the early hours of Saturday, around 3am.

It is due to last until 6pm.

The warning reads: "Snow, heavy at times, may lead to some travel disruption

* There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel

  • There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off
  • There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected."
