Swadlincote Police forced their way into a Midway property this morning (Thursday) in a drugs bust.

The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team posted a photo of officers breaking down a door in Salisbury Drive.

They were acting on information from the local community.

Their post explained what happened - and even referenced a Paul McCartney song.

It reads: "Someone's knocking at the door…but they're not ringing the bell!

"Nice early wake up call for one of our area's residents this morning.

"The team have attended an address at Salisbury Drive, Midway to execute a drugs warrant.

"We will continue to act on information and intelligence received from our community with further warrants planned."
