Police Search After Knives Found At Park In Swadlincote

Two knives were discovered on Eureka Park in Swadlincote last weekend.

One was found by the ground staff and the other by a dog walker.

And the town's Safer Neighbourhood Team has begun an investigation to find out how they got there.

SNT sergeant Tarj Nizzer said "It is very frightening to think what injuries these knives could have caused to a small child, other human or animal. It is still an offence to be carrying these kinds of knives in a public place.

"There will be no need for a mince pie and a carrot for this visit as it won't be Santa and Rudolph knocking on your door when we identify who put these knives there!"
