Frozen yoghurt treat gets the 'paws up' from Swadlincote dog owners

A lickable frozen yoghurt for dogs is selling like hot cakes at a Swadlincote pet shop.
The tasty treat is proving to be one of Stan's Pals best sellers this summer - with extra supplies stashed in the store's back-up freezers.
Ellie Walton, manager at the Midland Road shop, told Swadlincote Nub News: "We've only stocked Frozzys this year and the four flavours we have - original, cranberry, blueberry and strawberry - are flying out of the freezer.
"The treat is one of our best-sellers - although strawberry is definitely the most popular.
"Obviously, the lovely weather we're having increases sales, but dog owners are also buying it to pop in the freezer at home in anticipation of a hot day."
Two four-legged friends owned by a member of Stan's Pals staff were the first to taste-test the frozen yoghurt when it arrived in store...after woofing it down, they gave the it the 'paws up'.
"Pup and Lucius loved it and we knew then that it would be popular," added Ellie.
The tubs are low in fat, sugar and calories and lactose-free and are made with 100 percent natural ingredients, vitamins, minerals and prebiotic fibre.
On average, it takes a dog 10 to15 minutes to get through a single pot which the makers say limits the dog's calories and fat, without limiting 'the mental stimulation and enjoyment that treats can provide'.
