Woodhouse Street will be closed from next Friday to the following Monday as part of the Woodville to Swadlincote Regeneration Route development.

Severn Trent Water and Cadent Gas are currently diverting the mains services on Woodhouse Street in preparation for the new roundabout junction at Derby Road.

Temporary traffic lights have been used to allow the utility companies to complete their work but the road has to close to allow connections to the live mains either side to be made as it requires the full road width for access.

A full closure of Woodhouse Street is planned between 07:30, Friday, February 26 and 17:00 Monday, March 1.

On Friday 26th and Saturday 27th, the closure will be between Kiln Way and Derby Road.

On Sunday 28th and Monday 1st, the closure will be the Pool Street side of Kiln Way.

The map gives an illustration as to what is closed and when.

Access will be maintained to businesses at all times while the closure is in place, but it may have to be via the diversion route.

Companies are advised to let their suppliers and customers know about the road works and how best to approach their business while the closure is in place.

Access to Kiln Way may be reduced to a single lane during part of the works so please proceed with caution when accessing this junction.

A Priority Control System will be in place, with signs to advise on access to Kiln Way.
