Coronavirus: Updated Local Map Shows Latest Figures For Swadlincote Area

Updated data released on Friday shows that there was one Coronavirus-related death recorded during July in the Swadlincote area and surrounding towns.

The data localises how many people have died from Covid-19 in each region.

The latest statistics show a distinct decline although it is still two deaths too many.

The official total for Swadlincote and neighbouring towns in South Derbyshire is 63 up to July 31.

The figures are issued by the Office For National Statistics for Middle Layer Super Output Areas.

Central Swadlincote has recorded six deaths in all, including four in April.

Figures for the Swadlcincote West area, which includes Woodville, show five deaths up to July 31 but none in July.

Swadlincote South, which includes Church Gresley, has seen 10 people lose their loves including five in April.

Swadlincote North, including Midway, has had 12 Covid-19 related deaths, eight of which were in April.

Swadlincote West, which covers Newhall, has recorded 13 deaths with six in April.

The region's only death in July occurred in the Castle Gresley, Overseal & Coton region and there have been 13 in all since March with nine occurring in April.

The Melbourne, Ticknall & Hartshorne area has had 11 deaths but there were none in July.
