Swadlincote Police have arrested a criminal who abused and taunted them by saying: 'You won't find me'.
The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team worked with Derbyshire Constabulary's Organised Crime Team to put the man behind bars within days.
As a result, he now faces a prison sentence.
The SNT posted on social media today (Thursday) that the offender was arrested overnight.
They said: "You can run but you can't hide!
"Outstanding offender who had committed multiple crimes in Swadlincote then went on the run and left his family to face the music.
"Whilst on the run he contacted Swadlincote SNT, giving officers a load of abuse and saying: "You won't find me!".
"As expected within days the outstanding male was located overnight and arrested.
"If anyone wants to find him, he will be in a cell , then off to court to face the music and a prison sentence.
"Oh with an extra charge of malicious communication added.
"Great work by SNT, response officers and OC team."
