Swadlincote Police spotted a van driver in Woodville with no insurance - a week after he had been caught in Leicestershire for exactly the same offence.

The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team posted photos on social media of the van being towed away.

And they made it clear that the colour of the van meant it was easy to see.

Swadlincote SNT said: "The bright orange van was hard to miss as it pulled into Wards Recycling in Woodville.

"Driver with a provisional licence and no insurance.

"Got stopped last week in Leicestershire for the same thing, so you thought he would have learnt his lesson. Unfortunately not!"

Officers also seized another vehicle while on school patrols at Rosliston, Linton, St Edwards and Newhall Infants.

They added: "Unfortunately this Volkswagen driver parked inconsiderately at Rosliston causing our officer to complete a check on it.

"Turns out it hasn't had insurance since January! Again... please check to make sure you are insured."
