Youth gives Swadlincote Police unusual reason for climbing on scaffold at building site

Youths were caught climbing on scaffolding at the Cadley Village development in Swadlincote.

Despite fencing being in place to keep them out - the group managed to trespass on to the building site.

But one of them gave Swadlincote Police an unusual reason for why he was there.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team gave more details on social media and said: "Today, SNT were called to Cadley Village as youths were climbing on the scaffolding.

"One of them said they were there because they wanted to be a builder and get experience on a new build site.

"Details taken and we will be monitoring.

"The fencing is there for a reason."
