Bright Side Vets in Swadlincote is staging a Zoom session for pet owners and how they can keep their animals calm during fireworks season.

Coronavirus may have seen scores of organised displays called off but there will still be plenty of flashes and bangs in the night sky once November arrives.

Bright Side's vets realise that this is a difficult time which is why Head Vet, Kelly Freezer, will be hosting a live session this Wednesday, October 21, called Fireworks and Furbabies.

The West Street surgery's Facebook page explains what will be happening.

It says: "It's nearly firework season and at Bright Side Vets we know that this isn't always the most stress free time of year for you and your furbabies.

"On Wednesday 21st October our wonderful Head Vet Kelly Freezer will be sharing some very practical tips to help you get through this firework season, during a free virtual meeting (using Zoom) at 6pm.

"Kelly will talk through some of the common issues for owners this winter season.

"With a main focus on the upcoming fireworks season, we will be sharing as many tips as possible to help make this winter season as stress-free as possible for you and your furbaby."
