Swadlincote Police are urging people to use one of the three coronavirus testing centres currently in the area.

And one of Safer Neighbourhood Team's officers, PC Megan Jones, used the Midway Community Centre facility to get tested.

A message on the SNT Facebook page reads: "Here in South Derbyshire we are lucky to have Covid testing centres that will check anyone without symptoms.

"It is believed that this virus is also being spread by those that do not show visible signs.

"As police officers we continue to go to work and interact with many people in the community. Although we wear PPE, we are taking up the opportunity to get tested to ensure that we can help control the spread of the virus.

"Tonight PC Jones has been to Midway Community Centre to be tested.

"This took a matter of minutes, was simple and the staff were both friendly and very efficient.

"We urge as many as you to get tested while this is still open to us."

What else do I need to know?
