Swadlincote Police have recovered a motorbike in Woodville which was stolen from Leicester a fortnight ago.

And the town's Safer Neighbourhood Team issued a warning not to ride stolen bikes as they will be located.

The SNT say they plan to get the bike back to its orginal owner.

But on their Facebook page, they made it clear that forensics play a major a part on helping to track down stolen vehicles.

The SNT had some fun with the find as well as they posted: "DON'T RIDE A STOLEN BIKE!

"We will find it.

"We will have it forensically examined.

"We will return it to its owner.

"We will be knocking on your door soon to give you a ride in a Police car, see you soon!

"Whilst Batman was on leave, Robin was looking for a new superhero to crew up with.

"Unfortunately, he couldn't find one and had to crew up with the next best thing, PC Dave!

"Whilst in Woodville they managed to locate a bike which had been stolen from Leicester over two weeks ago.

"They then had to call the Sergeant, who put on his slippers and left the office to recover the bike.

"The bike was relatively undamaged and after being forensically examined it will be reunited with its true owner."
