Swadlincote Police say they will be stepping up patrols in the area's parks following recent anti-social behaviour and damage.

A message on the town's Safer Neighbourhood Team Facebook page says that there will be extra officers around.

A photo of Eureka Park forms part of the post but the SNT also reported damage caused at Maurice Lea Park in Church Gresley last weekend Police criticise mindless vandalism.

The SNT message reads: "Due to increased anti social behaviour, and recent damage, patrols of parks over this weekend are being stepped up.

"We are now on Maurice Lea memorial park, we will be visiting and patrolling all main parks this evening (Friday), till midnight."
