Swadlincote Police seized these knives from two men in Newhall.
The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team said they recovered them after the duo tried to run off before being stopped and searched.
The SNT then posted a photo of the knives on their Facebook page.
Their message read: "A fail to stop yesterday followed up by two running today... two males stopped and searched in Newhall, two knives recovered and two off to the police station."
The police also revealed a hat-trick of traffic offences - and explained them with a few more puns thrown in.
Their post added: "It was pot luck that we found a Mazda with our very own Batman and Robin only running it through after catching a whiff of cannabis.
"In a joint effort, the vehicle was stopped and the driver spoken to.
"Unfortunately for him cannabis was not the only thing he didn't have, his lack of insurance leaving him high and dry and with a good five-mile walk home. Not the lift home his mate expected!
"While on his way to an interview with our Chuckle Brothers, a Focus driver got to see the police a lot quicker than he thought.
"Being stopped on the way to the station threw interview plans to pot, particularly after he handed over a joint to officers as well as driving without a licence and insurance.
"To complete tonight's hat trick of cars, the crime fighting duo picked up a BMW.
"This driver was unlucky enough to pop to the shop that our boys were collecting CCTV from.
"Maybe if he hadn't decided to borrow his mate's car while having no licence and no insurance then it may have been a better trip for him."
