Swadlincote Police in move to stamp out 'unacceptable' parking

By Graham Hill 23rd Apr 2021

Swadlincote Police are clamping down on unacceptable parking in the area.

The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team say they have seen an increase in complaints regarding vehicles parking on the pavement and causing an obstruction.

An SNT social media post revealed the areas of concern.

They said: "Swadlincote road, Cedar road and Beards Road, Newhall are just a few that have been brought to our attention.

"To avoid being fined, please park with consideration.

"Ask yourself: can a pushchair or mobility scooter get past safely in this picture?

"The team will be patrolling all the areas that have been brought to our attention.
