Swadlincote Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team are offering people the chance to meet local officers in the town centre on Friday morning (May 14).

The local police are available to chat and talk over issues in the High Street in Swadlincote between 10am-1pm.

The SNT Facebook page explains: "Officers will be in attendance, adhering to social distancing, and giving away some free crime prevention goodies and signing up for Derbyshire Alert .

"Feel free to come down and have a chat and tell us about any issues or concerns you have and we will work with South Derbyshire District Council Council and the Environmental Team to address them.

"Thanks to Craig Harrison from Crown Kickboxing Academy, Batman will also be making an appearance for the kids to come and grab some selfies.

"In the coming weeks your SNT will be visiting local schools and after school clubs like Sports Active, Crown kickboxing, Dancing schools to encourage our youth community to join these as a way of tackling boredom and engage with their local Safer Neighbourhood Team."
