Swadlincote Police have released a set of photos showing motorcyclists caught speeding on the A444 at Stanton.

And they have likened them to the Sons of Anarchy  - and American TV crime series which follows the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in California Sons of Anarchy

They are appealing for information as to the identity of the riders - with Sgt Tarj Nizzer insisting he is 'the sheriff'.

The Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team's Facebook post on Friday reads: "It seems that there have been some individuals who believe that they are above the law, riding down the A444, Stanton Road like 'The Sons of Anarchy' setting off speed cameras, while riding uninsured and on false plates.

"Sgt Tarj Nizzer says: 'This isn't Charming, they don't rule this town. I'm the Sheriff here!'"

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the bikes or riders should message Swadlincote Police.
