Swadlincote Police visited the town's Bank House on Christmas Day to help deliver food and treats.

Bank House is a Swadlincote-based service dedicated to supporting adults with mental health issues.

And the town's Safer Neighourhood Team helped out yesterday (Friday) despite a difficult year for the Alexandra Road-based charity.

A post on the SNT's Facebook page reads: "Sergeant Nizzer & PC Wheldon have been to assist Bank House with making festive deliveries of a dinner and some treats to members of our community.

"Although they've not been able to open their doors as usual this year, they wanted to ensure that nobody went without a hot dinner and some treats at Christmas.

"We're so lucky to have a charity like Bank House, who support so many people in Swadlincote.

"They have worked tirelessly, prepping dinners with all the trimmings and ensuring that some festive cheer is spread in these difficult times."
