Swadlincote Police broke up a large group causing anti-social behaviour problems in Newhall Park on Saturday night - including one who was using it as a toilet.

The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team kept their promise to clamp down on trouble in the area - despite warnings that patrols would be increasing.

Even the ones on e-scooters could not escape the police who have promised to take action against youngsters involved in anti-social behaviour and breaking coronavirus distancing rules.

A post on the Swadlincote SNT Facebook page explained what happened.

It reads: "YOU HAD YOUR WARNING AND YOU CARRIED ON

"Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood team attended a report of Anti-Social Behaviour on Newhall Park tonight (Saturday).

"If you're going to use the park as a toilet, make sure Sergeant Nizzer is not stood behind you.

"We do believe he will remember the conversation with the sergeant for the rest of his life!

"The large group decided to scatter in different directions, unfortunately all the exits were covered.

"Some of the group thought they could try their luck with some attitude towards the team, and providing false details until PC muscle Saddington soon put them in their place, as she never forgets a face.

"Oh, even the fast ones on the E-Scooters were all detained by PC Hollywood Holmes and PC Wonder Woman O'Reilly.

"Some thought they would be clever and come back after we had left, they came face to face with PCSO Dean the Viking and Andy the Juggernaut.

"We will continue to take positive action, is there a reason for your child to be on the park causing ASB and breaching social distancing?"

The message signs off with ways you report problems to the police and says: "If you have any concerns regarding your areas please contact us follows.
