Snow Falls In Swad: Here's The Forecast For The Rest Of The Week

Snow showers arrived in the Swadlincote area this morning (Tuesday) - giving a distinctly Christmassy feel heading into the new year.
It looks like we are in for a wintry spell of weather with the Met Office issuing this forecast for the area.
There is also a yellow warning out for snow and ice.

Showers, occasionally wintry this morning, Drier and brighter later. Cold.
Today:
A cold start with some frost or freezing fog patches slowly clearing. Showers through the morning, some of these perhaps turning wintry inland. Drier into the afternoon with sunny spells. Any showers becoming restricted to the coast, but staying cold. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Tonight:
Generally dry overnight with widespread prolonged clear spells as any showers clear the Lincolnshire coast. Freezing fog or frost patches may develop in the clear spells. Cold. Minimum temperature -1 °C. Wednesday:Mainly dry, bright but cold, isolated coastal showers perhaps turning to sleet or snow inland. Overnight freezing fog or frost slow to clear in the day, developing again overnight. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Staying cold into the New Year. Showers Thursday and Friday, maybe wintry away from the coast. Overnight freezing fog or frost slowly clearing by day. Becoming drier and brighter Saturday.
