Bin Collections Suspended In Newhall and Midway

South Derbyshire District Council were forced to suspend some bin collections today (Tuesday) due to the wintry weather conditions.

Newhall and Lower Midway were among the areas affected.

A social media post from the council reads: "Green and black bin collections have been suspended due to bad weather conditions.

Areas affected are:

  • Willington
  • Findern
  • Newhall
  • Lower Midway

"If your green bin or black bin was due to be collected today, please leave it out and it will be collected as soon as possible."
