Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team are threatening to issue tickets to motorists who illegally park outside schools in the area.

They posted on their Facebook page that patrols were being completed at Belmont Primary School in Belmont Street, Swadlincote.

But they admitted they were having to warn drivers about their parking.

Swadlincote SNT posted: "Unbelievably we still get vehicles stopping right outside the school when we're stood here.

"Drivers warned, tickets next time.

"Other schools will be visited in due course."

But a later patrol at Eureka Primary School produced a better report.

They posted: "Happy to see everyone parking correctly and a clear school entrance."
