Santa Claus is coming to Swadlincote this year.

The town's Round Table say that Father Christmas will be touring the area this month - with social distancing rules in place.

Santa's first visit will be on December 7 and you can see the full schedule HERE.

A post on the Round Table's Facebook page says: "Things will be a little different this year, but we're still going to be visiting everyone we usually do to try and spread some festive cheer

"We'll be taking the sleigh around our usual routes, but on a shorter schedule (2 "normal" runs per night this year), with full lights and music.

"In line with social distancing rules, Santa won't get off the sleigh this year, and we won't be taking donations in cash - but please do come to the door and wave, shout, sing, or dance in the driveway!

"All money raised will be going to Derbyshire Blood Bikes to support the incredible work they do, and have been doing all through the pandemic delivering samples, tests, and other vital items to hospitals at all hours of the day and night."
