Public Urged To Take A Coronavirus Test At One Of Three Centres In Swadlincote Area

Derbyshire County Council is urging people to make use of the three coronavirus testing centres in Swadlincote.

The one at Grove Hall was set up before Christmas and was hailed a success after more than 1,400 people visited in the first two days of opening.

Now, the two other centres have been confirmed, at Midway Community Centre and Gresley Old Hall.

The three testing centres are open from 9am for people in the area who do not have coronavirus symptoms.

The council says there is no need to book - you can just come in any time for a test to help protect those closest to you.

The last admission time is 6.15pm and the advice is that you should get tested regularly.

Ideally, people should visit once a week while the centres are open.

But they will NOT be open on New Year's Day.

However, they are open until February 12, 2021.

Opening times

  • 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday - last admission 6:15pm
  • 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday - last admission 3:15pm

The centres are open from on 30-31 December 2020 with normal opening times.
