Swadlincote police are looking for vandals who have sprayed graffiti around the town.

Places targeted include monuments and parks.

Now police want information that will lead to them identifying who was responsible.

A post on the Swadlincote SNT Facebook page reads: "Someone thinks it clever to put graffiti all around Swadlincote causing thousands pounds worth of damage and cleaning costs.

"The distinctive graffiti had appeared on monumental buildings, parks, walls and road signs.

"Someone will know who is responsible for this damage, if you have any information please contact us via our SNT page or anonymously via crime stoppers.

"Sergeant Nizzer and Pcso Hillman are on patrol looking for the suspect and once they are caught the only thing they could damage will be the cell walls!

"SWAD HELP FIND OR NAME THEM!"
