New Derbyshire Chief Constable And Crime Commissioner Make Swadlincote Visit

Derbyshire's new chief constable Rachel Swann and Hardyl Dhindsa, the Police and Crime commissioner, visited Swadlincote this afternoon (Friday).
They were given a tour of the town by Swadlincote Police and they spoke with local communities.
Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team's Facebook page described it as a 'great engagement opportunity'.
They posted details of the walkabout around town.
The post reads: "This afternoon we were visited by our new Chief Constable Rachel Swann, and Hardyl Dhindsa The Police and Crime commissioner.
"We took them out on patrol around Swadlincote where they met and spoke with members of our communities - great engagement opportunity.
"Thank-you to everyone that said hello, engaged or waved during our walk."
The chief constable later tweeted: "Thank you for taking me for a walk around the town centre today.
"Great to hear about the work you are doing in our communities."
