A domestic dispute in Swadlncote ended with the discovery of a Cannabis farm - with a man facing a court appearance.

Officers were originally alerted to a woman involved in an argument over property.

But once police entered the building, they found Cannabis in the loft, scales, unidentified tablets and dealer bags.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team gave more details: "On Friday 15th May 2021 at 13:00hrs SNT Officers PC Anwar and Holmes were in a marked police vehicle driving along Plummer Road, Swadlincote when they were flagged down by a female stood on the pavement outside Chrysanthemum Court.

"The female stated her ex-partner in the flat was refusing to give her back her property.

"Officers knocked on the door which was eventually answered by a male.

"On speaking to the male, there was a very strong smell of cannabis coming from the address. As a result, the male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

"Officers then conducted a search of the address and located cannabis in the loft, scales, unidentified tablets and dealer bags.

"The male has been interviewed for possession with the intent to supply and will appear at court at a later date."
