Swadlincote Police have staged their own tribute to the NHS.

After a week in which they have been involved in a number of incidents as they attempt to enforce social distancing during the Coronavirus crisis, they decided to say a thank-you.

Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team posed for a photo on their Facebook page and posted a message on Tuesday.

It read: "We have seen such fantastic tributes to the NHS and key workers from all areas of our section, that we felt compelled to do something ourselves.

"We are so pleased with the way that the community here in South Derbyshire has come together to support everyone involved in this fight.

"We know that we say this a lot, however everyone really does have a part to play, so no matter if you are staying at home or out there on the front line, you are part of the effort to beat this virus.

"So from the Officers and staff at South Derbyshire policing section, 'Thank you,'"
