Three people died of Coronavirus-related causes in the Swadlincote area during June.
While that is three too many, it shows the effects of the pandemic in the region have been gradually decreasing.
A total of 57 people have died from Covid-19 across Swadlincote and surrounding towns and villages during March and June, according to the latest figures.
Official data where the virus was listed as the cause of death has been released by the Office for National Statistics.
In line with the national figure, April was the worst month – with 36 deaths across the area as the pandemic reached a peak.
But the only one death occurred in the Castle Gresley, Overseal and Coton region last month while two people passed away in the Swadlincote West area, to the west of Newhall, but that is where 13 have lost their lives since March.
Five people have passed away in the town of Swadlincote - with 12 dying in the north of the area around Midway.
Six people have died in the Woodville area - called Swadlincote East - while Swadlincote South, centred on Church Gresley, has lost nine people.
And there have been 12 deaths in all in the area around Castle Gresley, Overseal and Coton pver the past four months.
On Monday, the UK's Coronavirus death toll has risen by seven, making it the lowest daily increase since the lockdown was ordered in March.
A total of 685 new infections were added to the total.
The lowest rise in deaths in the UK represents a milestone for a country which has been one of the hardest-hit European nations during the pandemic.
The UK official death toll stands at 45,759.
