Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team came to the rescue on Thursday as they delivered a vital food parcel.

They helped deliver it on behalf of Derbyshire Victim Services for family who had no transport, no food and were in urgent need of the parcel but unable to collect it as arranged from the Rev Simon Thompsett at Hill Street Baptist Church.

The Police say the Church and Derbyshire Victim Services in Swadlincote do a fantastic job in supporting families and victims of crime.

Swadlincote SNT posted online and said: "Under the current situation we all need to look out for each other.

"Stay Home Stay Safe and saves lives"

Safer Neighbourhood Team's Sgt Tarj Nizzer & Pcso Edwards can be seen here with Rev Thompsett at Hill Street Church.
