A woman was arrested in Overseal for drink driving after hitting two vehicles and a supermarket entrance within a mile of her home.

Swadlincote Response Unit Tweeted that she was taken into custody and then charged.

Their post suggested that the woman took a breath test and recorded 128micrograms per 100 millimetres of breath - the legal limit is 35 - meaning she would have been three times over.

Photos tweeted by the police show extensive damage to a vehicle at the scene.

The incident occurred on Wednesday and the police post read: "Following on with yesterday's traffic theme, today in Overseal we have arrested and charged and adult female with drink driving.

"She hit two vehicles and the entry to the Co-op on the mile journey from home.

"She blew 128 at the roadside and 102 in custody."
