When you can expect bins to be collected in the Swadlincote area over Christmas and New Year

There will be no changes to bin collection days for South Derbyshire residents over the whole of the Christmas and New Year period

Collections, including brown compost bins, will stay the same as usual pick-up days throughout the whole of the festive holidays.

Householders are being reminded that they should leave all of their bins out on their usual days.

They are also being reminded of the importance to keep recycling over the busy Christmas period - and if they are unsure of what goes where, to refer to South Derbyshire District Council's online guide HERE.

If residents do have extra recycling over Christmas, they can put cardboard next to their green bin, extra paper recycling and extra glass recycling can also go in boxes next to the green bin if they are not mixed together.
