South Derbyshire Centre Looking For Volunteers At Woodville Venue To Help Youngsters With Duke Of Edinburgh Award

Swadlincote-based South Derbyshire Volunteer Centre is looking for people to work with youngsters and help them achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The South Derbyshire Duke of Edinburgh Open Award Centre is based in the Woodville Youth Centre and meets every two weeks on a Wednesday evening.

A social media post says the centre has several volunteer opportunities available at the moment.

They include:

•Helping participants decide what sort of activities mightbest suit them to achieve the Skills, Volunteering and Physical sections of the award.

•Helping participants to develop basic map reading and navigation skills.

•Providing some administration support to the Centre Co-ordinator

•Assisting the Expedition Supervisor with checking routes or managing the stock of equipment.
