Two Men Arrested After Break-in At Swadlincote Store

Two men from Swadlincote have been arrested in connection with a break-in at the town's Fast Cash store in the early hours of this morning (Weds).

The 39-year-old and 34-year-old were detained by officers from Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team as they fled from the High Street premises.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman said: "The incident occurred at 4.10am.

"A number of electrical items were stolen from the business, but were recovered nearby.

"Two men have been arrested - a 39-year-old, from Swadlincote, on suspicion of burglary and a 34-year-old, from Swadlincote, on suspicion of burglary and possession of a class A controlled substance.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
