Three fire crews called to tackle blaze at Newhall property

Fire crews from three stations were called out to a blaze in Newhall yesterday (Wednesday).

The fire was at a property at The Gables and firefighters needed breathing apparatus to put it out.

Crews from Swadlincote, Burton and Derby were called out.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue tweeted: "15:54hrs crews from #Swadlincote_Red, @AscotFire, #RedWatch and @StaffsFire #BurtonOnTrent Appliances.

"Used two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to extinguish a property fire on The Gables in Newhall."
