Teenager charged with possession of 'bladed article' and drugs in Newhall Park is sentenced

A man arrested last month by Swadlincote Police in Newhall Park for possession of a blade and drugs has received a 12-week sentence,

Thomas Brint appeared at Crown Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday) and was 19 when he was charged.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team posted online and said: "Brint was arrested on March 5 by the Safer Neighbourhood Team after being found in possession of a bladed article and cannabis on Newhall park.

"Brint was charged and remanded by LPU team 3. Park Patrols will continue.

"Folks, enjoy the nice weather and please leave the parks in a condition for everyone to enjoy."
