VIDEO: Swadlincote Surgery shares clip highlighting abuse given by some patients

Swadlincote Surgery has posted a You Tube clip containing examples of abuse directed at NHS staff.

And the Surgery adds that it has had to put up with similar behaviour from some patients.

Swadlincote surgery says police action could be taken against patients who verbally abuse staff.

The Swadlincote Surgery post reads: "Sadly, the experiences shared by the General Practice Staff shown in the video above are a common occurrence in our own surgery for our reception, management and clinical team members from a small but significant number of our patients and/or their relatives.

"As Employers, the GP Partners have a duty of care to provide an environment that is safe for all our employees.

"We have in the past removed patients from our lists who have been abusive or aggressive towards staff members and reserve the right to use this action again in the future if required."
