Swadlincote Police uncover £50,000 drugs haul at house in Newhall

A drugs raid on a property in Newhall saw Swadlincote police recover over £50,000 worth of cannabis plants last week.

Police say that inquiries into the find are 'ongoing'.

Swadlincote Police posted on social media and said: "SNT and Group 4 LPU officers actioned another successful drugs warrant last week at an address in Newhall.

"Over £50,000 worth of Cannabis plants was recovered from the address."

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary added: "We carried out a warrant at a house in Woodland Road on the morning of May 10.

"Officers found plants growing in two rooms inside the house. Inquiries into the suspected cannabis are ongoing."
