Swadlincote Police Safer Neighbourhood Team has released an update on the ongoing operation to crack down on criminals 'causing misery' for the community.
The team is working with Derbyshire's Organised Crime Team on Operation DAPHNIS - targeting offenders who commit serious crime.
The Swadlincote SNT team said on Facebook today (Thurs): "The offenders targeted have been involved in drugs supply, funding criminality and stealing vehicles around South Derbyshire and causing misery for members of the South Derbyshire Community.
"Six addresses have been visited, all with success, resulting in six arrests, Class A and B drugs being seized, stolen vehicles and property recovered and a cannabis grow located at one address.
"Sadly, one of the suspects has so far managed to avoid us and instead allowed their relative to face the music.
"Don't worry though, we'll be seeing you soon..."
The operation, led by Det Insp McDermott, is continuing with further addresses to be visited and 'offenders targeted and arrested'.
"The operation was the result of several months of hard work intelligence gathering and investigation, to striking at the right time.
"This operation shows that we listen to our community and take the information we receive on board to tackle serious crime.
"Remember, if you don't tell us - we don't always know.
"We're looking forward to some more early morning door 'knocks' and home clearances in the near future," adds the Swadlincote team.
