Swadlincote Police got more than they bargained when searching for drugs in Stanton

Swadlincote Police has a double find on Monday when they made a successful drugs raid - and found stolen car parts at same time.

The town's Safer Neighbourhood Team made the discovery in Stanton.

It is the latest in a series of results for Swadlincote Police in their battle against drugs in the town.

But they were delighted with the added bonus they came across during their search.

Particularly as they were able to take fingerprints at the scene of a Cannabis factory.

They posted on their Facebook page: "We couldn't 'contain' our excitement when we executed a warrant looking for some drugs and then come across some high value stolen car parts too!

"A substantial cannabis grow also located in a container off Woodland Road, Stanton today.

"Forensic examination has taken place on all items with some lovely fingerprints on them that the 'cherub' has left behind.

"If you have any information on drug supply/cultivation please let us know, we will continue to enforce any information."
