Swadlincote Police Issue Warning to 'Boy Racers' Causing Problems In The Town

Swadlincote Police have warned 'boy racers' in the town that their cars could be seized or even crushed if they continue to cause problems in the town.
A number of drivers have already been warned and a post on the town's Safer Neighbourhood Police Facebook page says a repeat will not be tolerated.
Their message reads: "Boy racers, you have been warned, we will be having your cars.
"Recent reports of Anti Social Behaviour driving in Swadlincote, has resulted in the drivers of the vehicles being warned under Section 59 of the Road Traffic Act, which gives police officers the power to seize their vehicles if the same vehicle commits any ASB within the next 12 months.
"If the vehicles are not claimed back they can be sold or crushed."
