Swadlincote Police have appealed to the public to stay within the law this weekend with Covid-19 restrictions eased still further.

As well as pubs opening their doors first time since March, police are well aware of problems at nearby beauty spots in recent weeks.

Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team have published photos on their Facebook page illustrating litter problems and dangerous parking at Foremark Reservoir.

The wrote on their Facebook page: "With the weather due to be dry over the weekend and the lockdown being eased, once again SNT and our response officers will be out in full force to ensure everybody has an enjoyable but safe time.

"We DO NOT want at the end of the weekend our local beauty spots to be like this (see above).

"We also DO NOT want a repeat of the parking issues at Foremark Reservoir that we have seen over the last couple of weeks.

"Please have an enjoyable weekend but respect our local community and stay safe."
